"Wilderness Survival Skills"

Reading the Bible Through in 90 Days
- Week 3 -

Deuteronomy 6:1-6, 20-25

Dear Friends,

We have a great group (90 strong) reading the Bible over these 90 days!  This week we had our first week's classes (11:00 AM on Sunday and 7:00 PM on Monday) and they were filled with interesting questions.  Some said to me, "I was out on the patio after Church Sunday and everyone was talking about the Bible--it was great!"  I think this time is a very special time in our community and I know I am glad to be part of it!

This weekend we continue to the story.  I will be talking about how to deal with the deserts in our own lives -- how do you and I get through times that our hard.  I will also be talking about, does God test us?  For while this is a theme in the Old Testament we don't usually talk about it together -- this week we will -- be there at 9:30 AM or 11:00 AM.

Saturday & Sunday at 5:00 PM is the Murder Mystery Dinner.
I know our youth and Ashleigh have been busy working to make this a great time for you to come out and enjoy a great meal (burgers, fries and pie!) and some entertainment. Tickets can be purchased at the door. Can't come but ant to help out? Make a donation to our youth ministry as funds from the dinner help our kids go to camp and on mission trips.

Love the butterflies at Easter? We are looking for someone to keep & take care of them (starting next Tuesday till Easter). They need a warm space (we have a small heater to lend) and need some (but not a lot) of attention. We really need someone who can make this happen so email Caroline at info@ smumc.com for additional info.
